JC Poole Jr. Memorial Library receives $10,000 grant

Library

The JC Poole Jr. Memorial Library received a $10,000 grant from The Tombigbee Resource Conservation and Development Council for a project we call “Keeping up the Pace.” This simply means we here at the Library are dedicated to providing our patrons with the latest in quality technology and books. This grant afforded us the opportunity to purchase 9 HP computers (used for Computer classes, research, job search, applications, resumes, and personal use) to replace some of the older ones, 1 laptop, and often we have Presenters come in for a training session who needs to play a CD or show a DVD to their group so we purchased a 52in TV (we also use the TV for CPR/first aid classes and to entertain the children at story time) and a DVD combo along with other devices needed to get everything up and working. We were also able to purchase many much needed best selling books for our patrons. So on behalf of the Staff, Patrons and the entire Greene County we would like to say Thank You from the bottom of our hearts…
