Thomas Branch, 51, of Eutaw, was struck and killed by a train at the Prairie Avenue crossing in Eutaw, AL on Sunday December 4, 2016.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 noon. According to witnesses, the guard rails came down and Branch continued walking under them.
The Amtrack Southern Cresent passenger train blew several warning horns, however, the victim failed to notice and abide and was struck and dragged by the train.
Branch is known to most Eutaw residents as the man who picks up aluminum cans.
No further information was available at press time.
