Stories have the power to educate, encourage, and inspire. As a behavior intervention specialist and author, I have witnessed firsthand how children and families thrive when they are equipped with the right tools to understand emotions, improve behavior, and build healthy relationships. That passion inspired me to become an author and create books that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
One of my featured books, When Behavior Speaks: Understanding the Message Behind Children’s Actions, helps parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals look beyond challenging behaviors to understand what children may be trying to communicate. Drawing from practical experience and evidence-based strategies, the book provides guidance on building positive relationships, responding with patience, teaching appropriate behaviors, and creating supportive environments where children can succeed. It encourages readers to remember that behavior is often a form of communication and that understanding the message behind it can transform a child’s future.
In addition to writing about children’s behavior, I also authored Held Together: A Journey Through Mental Health, Love, and Support, a book designed to encourage individuals navigating life’s challenges. Through compassionate guidance, practical encouragement, and messages of hope, the book reminds readers that healing is possible, support is available, and no one has to face difficult times alone.
I also created Southern Simply Cooked Family Edition, a cookbook that celebrates the comfort of home-cooked meals, cherished family recipes, and the joy of gathering around the table. It reflects my belief that food has a unique way of bringing people together, creating lasting memories, and strengthening family bonds.
My inspiration for becoming an author comes from working closely with children and families every day. I wanted to create resources that educate, empower, and inspire readers of all ages. Whether helping adults better understand children’s behavior, encouraging someone on a mental health journey, or sharing recipes that bring families together, my goal is to leave a positive and lasting impact through every book I write.
My books are available for purchase on Amazon, and I look forward to continuing to create resources that promote understanding, healing, education, and hope within our communities.
